Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroethology
I am a biologist specializing in neuroethology and chemical communication in insects. After studying cellular biology and physiology, I completed a Master’s degree in Behaviour at Université Paris Nord, followed by a PhD focused on sexual communication in males of four Apis species.
During my doctoral work, I investigated the function of several olfactory receptors involved in sexual communication in four species of honey bees within the Apis genus, expressed heterologously in Drosophila melanogaster.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher studying the neural circuits underlying pheromone processing in the honeybee. My work combines transgenesis (CRISPR-Cas9), calcium imaging, electrophysiology, behavioural assays (olfactory conditioning, olfactometry), and practical beekeeping.
My long-term goal is to understand the mechanisms underlying chemical communication across the animal kingdom.
